State officials have announced their plans to widen about two miles of Highway 90 between Albertsons Parkway and Ambassador Caffery.  This work will be an extension of another project completed last month that widened seven miles of the highway from four to six lanes.

Department of Transportation and Development spokeswoman Jodi Conachen says the project will probably cost between 90 and 110 million dollars.  The project will also include frontage roads and the widening the  Highway 182 overpass.

The project won't be finished until 2017.
