BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Four Louisiana employers have issued layoff notices to the state.

The Louisiana Workforce Commission said Hexion Inc. facility in Norco, two Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas divisions in New Orleans, the Offshore Specialty Fabricators facility in Houma and the Martin Mills distribution center in Vidalia, La. have issued layoff notices.

According to our sources with the Louisiana Radio Network, the permanent closure of the Martin Mills Vidalia Distribution Center would result in 167 employees losing their jobs starting July 10th. LWC says their Rapid Response team will conduct orientation sessions for affected workers in two weeks.
