You know, in this, my second year of voting in the Harris Poll, I've learned once you get into the middle teens, you're doing a lot of recycling.

Fortunately, there were several mid-majors that had outstanding seasons that kept me from voting for five loss teams from big conferences.

My top thirteen did not change from last week.

1. Notre Dame

2. Alabama

3. Oregon

4. Georgia

5. Kansas State

I had Georgia fourth last week, too.  Saw no reason to drop them after that great game against Alabama.

6. Stanford

7. Florida

8. LSU

9. South Carolina

10. Texas A&M

Yes, that's six teams from the SEC in my Top Ten.

11. Florida State

12. Clemson

13. Oklahoma

14. Northern Illinois

15. Boise State

Will either NIU or BSU be in the BCS top 25 and steal a big boy bid?  We'll find out tonight,.

16. Oregon State

17. Nebraska

18. Utah State

19 Northwestern

20. UCLA

21. Arkansas State

22, Louisville

23. Fresno State

24. San Jose State

25. Kent State

I only had Kent State at 23 last week and was puzzled as to why they were ahead of NIU in the BCS standings.  I thought all along NIU was the better team.  Arkansas State closed the season with seven straight wins and they are not the same team they were during the regular season.  In fact, I'm guessing there are a few teams ahead of them in the Top 25 that wouldn't want to play them right now.

We'll see how this compares with the BCS Standings and the rest of the Harris Poll when the numbers are released.
