Members of the Jeff Davis Parish School Board have reached a decision regarding what the new elementary school in Jennings will be called. Okay, they've kind of reached a decision on the issue. They have narrowed the choices for the name of the new school to three choices. That's where your input on what the school should be called is requested.

The three names the Board agreed to choose from include, James Ward Elementary, Jennings Elementary, or Jennings-Ward Elementary. Those names were chosen from names that were suggested via public input.  The Board would now like to get your input on those final choices at a meeting called for Tuesday, October 22nd.

Funding for the new school was approved by voters in March. The school will host students in grades Pre-K through 6th grade. A final decision on what the school will be called is expected to be announced following a vote by the Board during their meeting on November 21st,
