NFL Planning To Play Black National Anthem Before Games
The NFL is planning on playing "Lift Ev'ry Voice And Sing", which is known as the Black national anthem, before "The Star Spangled Banner" at every Week 1 game this upcoming season.
The information was reported by ESPN Senior NFL writer Jason Reid via Twitter @JReidESPN
The league is also working on other ways to recognize victims of police brutality before games for the upcoming season.
This comes in the wake of NFL commissioner, Rodger Goodell, releasing a video explaining that the NFL had mishandled previous acts of peaceful protest amongst players. Goodell condemned racism in his video and also affirmed that Black lives matter.
