Another Coronavirus Case Confirmed in Lafayette; 3 Total
Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory is announcing a newly confirmed positive case of COVID-19 in Lafayette Parish, bringing the parish total to three.
"The status of the individual has not been disclosed at this time," says Chief Communications Officer Jamie Angelle.

Jamie Angelle, Chief Communications Officer for Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory released numbers for the call screening and testing that is happening in Lafayette Parish.
Today at the Cajundome, Angelle says fewer people were screened today than on Wednesday, "fewer than 200." He says 1,186 people have used the 3-1-1 number for screening by phone. The hotline number is 337-291-8200.
107 people were tested today for COVID-19.
No new cases were announced today after Guillory announced the first two confirmed positive cases Wednesday night.
Angelle also mentioned that officials are looking at reducing hours worked at the site because more people are coming in the mornings and it would be less of a strain on volunteers working it.
