One Hundred Thousand Dollar Education Account Winner Announced

This year's annual ScholarWise Scholarship winner was announced on Friday, and the winner is............State Senator Mike Michot of Lafayette, who was actually the first person to buy a ticket as the event kicked off this year. 

Program Coordinator for ScholarWise, Fred Reggie, says not only does Special Olympics Louisiana benefit from all of the money raised during the annual campaign fundraiser, but Cathedral Carmel benefits this year because they sold the most tickets.  In addition, the school was also on the ticket drawn with Michot's name so they won a total of 20,000 dollars.  Reggie says schools can sign up now to participate in next year's campaign by visiting http://www.myscholarwise.com
