Parts of I-220 to be Closed Again Next Week

It seems like I-220 and the roads around it have been closed a lot recently due to construction and other road repairs and that'll be the case yet again next week. Louisiana Highway Department announced that March 5th and 6th they'll be closing the westbound lanes over Cross Lake from 8:30 am - 3 pm. The road closure is so the city can have crews change out the overhead lights going over the bridge.

The closure should only include the inside lanes where the lights are located but make sure you pass through slowly as crews will be on location.

This same stretch was reportedly worked on just a few weeks ago so hopefully, they're able to fix all the problems now. We will keep you updated on any new road closures or updates on construction affecting your daily commute as we get details.
