Pierre Says Jindal And Durel Are “Meddling” In District 44 Race

One candidate for office is accusing the Governor and the Lafayette City-Parish President of meddling in his race. Vincent Pierre is in a runoff with Rickey Hardy for District 44. Third-place finisher Roshell Jones has endorsed Rickey Hardy. But Pierre says after talking to her this morning, he says she told him she did so because "they did offer me certain things." Pierre says Ms. Jones went on to say "it would be beneficial to myself and my family to endorse Rickey Hardy." Pierre says the past four years with Jindal, Durel and Hardy have been a disaster for the people of the district. Durel has denied the accusations. Jindal's Office hasn't gotten back to us.
