Police Memorial Service Set For Thursday In Lafayette
Lafayette Police and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Lafayette will host the annual police memorial service this Thursday. The heartfelt event honors each and every law enforcement officer who has ever been killed in the line of duty in Acadiana. The event starts at 6:00 pm and is open to the public. A representative from each of the agencies who had an officer die will be in attendance.
Thursday, May 18th at 6 p.m. at St. Barnabas Church 400 Camellia Blvd.
A police motorcade will leave the Lafayette Police parking lot lot at 5:30 p.m. The ceremony will honors 21 fallen officers from the Acadiana Region, 5 of which are from Lafayette Police.
A reception is planned for after the memorial.
