There's going to be #OneMooreWeek of baseball at "The Tigue," and there's a familiar opponent coming to Lafayette for the regional.

Former Ragin' Cajun coaches Matt Deggs and Lance Harvell are on their way back to the Tigue, but this time they’re wearing orange. Deggs is the Head Coach at Sam Houston State (41-20 overall), and he and Harvell led their new squad to a Southland Conference title. It’s almost fitting that they will be back in town for the final weekend of baseball at “The Tigue.”

The Cajuns are also welcoming Arizona (38-20, at large big from Pac-12) and Princeton (24-19, Ivy League Champions) into town, so this regional has representation from all corners of the country.

Head Coach Tony Robichaux’s team will start off against the #4 seed, Princeton, Friday at 7:00 pm. Arizona (#2 seed) and Sam Houston State (#3 seed) will throw down on the opposite side of the bracket, and with a little luck, Cajun fans could get treated to a Robe vs Deggs rematch with a trip to the super regionals on the line.

It’s the perfect time of year to play your best baseball, and the Ragin’ Cajuns are bringing a ton of momentum home to share with their fans.

Prepare yourself for some fantastic baseball, Cajun fans. Before the bulldozers come and the renovations start, how about one more party at M.L. Tigue Moore Field?
