Record Breaking Cold Temperatures

Record breaking temperatures are expected across the state for tonight and early tomorrow morning. Temperatures didn't dip quite as low as expected across the state of Louisiana last night, but forecasters are predicting record low temperatures for tomorrow morning. Says State Climatologist Barry Keim. Keim says we're on a temperature roller coaster going back and forth between warm and cold air and he expects to see that trend continue. Keim says that as far as winters in Louisiana go, temperatures this cold are a bit extreme.
