Arizona Cardinals All-Pro cornerback and former LSU All-American Patrick Peterson reportedly wants to be traded to the Saints, according to his cousin Bryant McFadden.

McFadden, a former NFL Super Bowl winning cornerback, now works for CBS Sports. As Peterson's cousin, he's cites him as the exact source.

Peterson wants to be traded out of Arizona, according to multiple reports from NFL Insiders.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Steven Wilks has said the team has no plans to trade Peterson.

The NFL trade deadline is a week from tomorrow.

Peterson, 28, has 3 years left on his current deal.

According to Jason Fitzgerald of overthecap.com, the Saints would have to create cap space for a potential trade to be possible.

He is is making $11 million this season with a $14,956,966 cap hit.

In 2019, it's $11 million again, with an $11,884,588 cap hit.

In 2020, the last year of his current deal, he makes $12,050,000 with $13,184,589 cap hit.

Peterson is a 7-time Pro Bowler and 3-time 1st team AP All-Pro.

A 2-time All-American at LSU, Peterson was drafted 5th overall by the Cardinals in 2011.
