METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Pierre Thomas' status for the Saints' season finale against Tampa Bay is uncertain after the running back appeared to hurt his left ankle at practice.

Thomas, who missed nine games earlier this season with a severely sprained left ankle, is coming off one of his best performances of the season, when he accounted for 102 yards from scrimmage during a 17-14 victory at Atlanta on Monday night.

Saints coach Sean Payton says Thomas is questionable for Sunday's game but is declining to discuss whether Thomas had a setback.

Thomas had not been on the Saints' injury report this week until after Friday's practice, when his participation was listed as limited and his status for the game listed as questionable.
