SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — It was a crime in keeping with the season.

With the new year approaching, Shreveport police say they have arrested a man in connection with the weekend theft of fireworks from a tent where they were on sale.

A security guard saw the man cutting a hole in the fence around the tent and kept an eye on the man until the police arrived.

A Bossier Parish man was booked in the case. Police said Monday that they found stolen fireworks worth an estimated $180.
