Victim of Fourth Offense DWI Crash Dies
The 23 year old girl severely injured in a crash last Saturday south of Abbeville has died. KATC reports Emily Landry died early Sundary morning. The person responsible for the crash, Gregory Menard, faces his fourth DWI. He was attempting to pass several vehicles in a curve on Highway 82 when he crashed head on into Landry's car. His passenger, Kenneth Menard, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Menard is charged with DWI, vehicular negligent injuring, and passing in a no passing zone.
