LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — The trial of Seth Fontenot, the 20-year-old man accused of killing one of three teens he suspected were breaking into his truck in February 2013, has been delayed again.

Court records show the trial, which was scheduled to begin Dec. 1, has been pushed back to March 16.

Fontenot, of Lafayette, is charged with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Fontenot is accused of firing a 9 mm pistol at a pickup truck in front of his house, striking all three people inside.

Fifteen-year-old Austin Rivault died. The other two victims were wounded but survived.

The Advertiser reports Fontenot was indicted by a grand jury on Feb. 21, 2013. His trial has been delayed at least three times.
