Seth Fontenot To Be Sentenced On Manslaughter Conviction
Seth Fontenot faces up to 40 years in prison for shooting 15 year old Austin Revault to death in February of 2013. According to our news partner KATC Fontenot also faces sentencing of up to 10 years on each count of aggravated battery in the shooting of Cole Kelly and William Bellamy.
Originally Fontenot was charged with one count of first degree murder and two counts of attempted first degree murder for shooting at the three teens he thought were breaking into his truck. Thomas Guilbeau, Fontenot's attorney convinced the jury Fontenot shot at the teens to scare them and not injure of kill them.
Fontenot will be sentenced by District Court Judge Edward Rubin on July 8th.
