Son Of Alton Sterling Breaks Down In Tears As Family Speaks Out [VIDEO]

The 15-year-old son of Alton Sterling broke down in tears during a press conference as family members spoke out on the fatal officer-involved shooting of his father.

Sterling's family is calling for an independent investigation after amateur cell phone video surfaced showing part of the altercation between Alton Sterling and Baton Rouge Police before you hear the barrage of gunshots that ultimately claimed Sterling's life.

The graphic raw video appears to show the 37-year-old man being shot while officers have him pinned to the ground.

The shooting death of Alton Sterling has ignited protests within the local community of Baton Rouge as well as a national conversation amongst the mainstream media.

Officials with the Governor's Office have planned a press conference at 10 a.m. while officials at the Mayor's Office and the Baton Rouge Police Department have stated they will hold a press conference at 11 a.m.
