State Tax Extensions For Flood Victims

If you're in the area being affected by the flood you're going to be eligible for a state tax extension.  Louisiana's Department of Revenue will give people in flood areas a 30 day extension to file returns that were due this month.  It will be on a case by case basis if  you evacuated as a result of a mandatory order, suffered damage as a result of flooding on a date in which a return was due or engaged in flood protection measures for homes in areas projected to flood as a result of the opening of the Morganza Spillway. revenue.louisiana.gov is where you can get more information.
