UPDATE: Suspect Arrested In 8th Street Shooting

UPDATE: Lafayette Police Spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton announced Friday afternoon that the suspect, Aurtray Kentrial Dugas, was arrested at his residence.

18 year old Joseph Celestine has been identified as the victim in the shooting at the intersection of 8th Street and Sterling Street. Lafayette Police have identified 17 year old Aurtray Kentrial Dugas as the suspect in the shooting. An arrest warrant has been issued for Dugas on charges of 2nd degree murder, Illegal possession of a stolen firearm and carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon.
