Deputies say they found multiple vehicles on L. Dubois Road that had been broken into.

The victim told police he was fighting verbally with 30-year-old Rondell Derouen, when Derouen pulled out a gun and shot him.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, about 6 feet tall with a slim build, dark complexion, short black hair and brown eyes.

The victim says he was taken at gunpoint to his home by the three men, he was robbed and beaten.

The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.

Deputies were called out to the 2000 block of Coco Palm Boulevard after someone phoned in to tell police he saw two males breaking into a pickup truck and taking things out of it.

The sheriff says 21 people were arrested during the two day operation.

Brett Philips is also in trouble for not letting officials know of his temporary change in his address.

The woman was found with multiple stab wounds, and she was pronounced dead by the Iberia Parish Coroner's Office.
