Lafayette Police are asking for the public's help in finding the person responsible for a Sunday afternoon shooting in the 100 block of Clara Street.

Officers showed up to find a man who had been shot twice.

The victim told police he was fighting verbally with 30-year-old Rondell Derouen, when Derouen pulled out a gun and shot him.

The suspect ran away, and the victim is being treated at an area hospital.

The arrest warrant for Derouen is for Attempted Second Degree Murder

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of of Derouen is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
