Two men are now behind bars after they allegedly kidnapped a man and his girlfriend last week. St. Martinville authorities say a third man helped out the other two in the kidnapping.

An attempted kidnapper is still on the run. Deputies in Iberia Parish say Lee M. Fowler escaped after he was arrested for kidnapping. Witnesses say Fowler held the female victim in his car, refusing to let her leave.

The search is on for Lee Fowler following his arrest by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office on charges that include second-degree kidnapping and simple escape.
