Man In St. Landry Jail Facing Kidnapping and Simple Battery Charges

St. Landry Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena says their office arrested a man on charges of simple battery and kidnapping after a woman filed a complaint this week with their office.

Vizena says the victim told them she was forced into a car against her will.  Deputies say they saw multiple injuries on the victim’s face and hands. Investigators say they discovered that Rhondale Willis forcefully took the victim from her home, put her into his car and then proceeded to beat her up.

The victim also told deputies that after the beating, Willis drove around with her in his car, but finally brought her back to her home acting as if nothing happened.

Willis is currently being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail with no bond.
