Crews will be performing railroad work in Duson, Louisiana, and travelers will need to plan to take another exit if they need to get to US Highway 90 in that area.

Alternating lane closures are happening all this week on U.S. 90 westbound as crews move concrete barriers in St. Mary Parish.

All inspections are weather permitting.

More J-turns will be installed between Calumet and Berwick.

Construction is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.

These closures are necessary for crews to install temporary sheet piles to prepare for the actual construction of new, wider overpass.

Oversized loads will not be permitted.

Alternating lanes will be closed for repair to bridge joints.

That permanent closure of the crossover will happen next Thursday April 10, 2014.
