Man Arrested in Abbeville Accused of Stranding Woman and Infant on US 90

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a Cut Off, La man for allegedly stranding a woman and her baby on US 90 in Lafourche Parish.

KATC reports 27-year-old Dillon Terrebonne was taken into custody by the Abbeville Police Department and booked on charges of "Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation and Child Endangerment and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle." 

According to authorities, Terrebonne was driving the woman's vehicle when the two got into an argument. He then reportedly pulled the vehicle over and proceeded to strike and strangle the woman.

Police say the woman was able to free herself and at that point, Terrebonne got back into the woman's vehicle, removed the baby seat and drove away, leaving her and her infant along U.S. Hwy 90 in Raceland.

KATC reports a passing motorist stopped to help the woman and her baby.
