Monday night officers from Lafayette's Tactical Narcotics Team were very busy getting more than $100,000 worth of drugs off the streets.

The TNT unit of the Lafayette Police Department made their drug bust on Interstate Ten.

They were able to recover 5 grams of marijuana and 1100 grams of powder cocaine once there it was determined there was probably cause to search the vehicle that had been pulled over.

Because this is on ongoing case, Sergeant Wayne Griffion, says in a press release that they have very few other details that they are willing to give out.

The result of the bust at around 9:45 Monday night, was that they were able to recover drugs that would have a street value of $110,100 according to the Drug Enforcement Agency.
