Traffic Stop Leads To Marijuana Bust

Scott Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after the vehicle ran a stop sign in a residential area. After obtaining the drivers information, it was found the driver, identified as Aaron Camacho, had an open warrant for not appearing in Lafayette Parish Court for the charge of Possession of Marijuana.  During the interview the officer detected an odor of raw marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle. After further investigation the driver admitted to the officer, he had marijuana inside the car. Officers recovered approximately $240 street value worth of marijuana along with a digital scale used to weigh the drug. The subject was arrested and booked into Lafayette Parish Jail on above charges.
