Tropical Depression Seven Forms In The Gulf
An area of disturbed weather in the Gulf of Mexico has now formed into Tropical Depression 7 according to Meteorologist Dave Baker with KATC.
Now, Baker says that the good news for Acadiana is that we likely won't have to worry about this depression.
He says all tracks put Tropical Depression #7 floating into Mexico.
The system will become a tropical storm in the next 24 to 48 hours, and it's expected to hit the northern Mexican coast.
Right now the depression has winding of about 35 miles an hour.
