Two Arrested For Medicaid Fraud
Two people are arrested on charges of Medicaid fraud. According to Attorney General Buddy Caldwell 55 year old Beatrice S. Scott of Springfield, Louisiana was charged with one count of Medicaid Fraud and one count of filing false public records after submitting time sheets and service logs that contained overlapping hours. The submission of 149 false claims caused Scott's employer to bill for services costing over $8,500 to the Louisiana Medicaid Program.
41 year old Juandricka Quaette Williams of Baton Rouge was also charged with one count of Medicaid fraud for submitting time sheets and service logs with overlapping hours. Due to these actions her employer was paid over $5,000 by the Medicaid program.
Both Williams and Scott were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail.
