A complaint led to the discovery and shutdown of two meth labs in Parks last night. Major Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Sheriff's Office said they received a complaint regarding  an alleged meth lab in Parks. Higgins said as police were conducting surveillance outside a house on Paradise Cove Road, they noticed a vehicle leaving the house and stopped it. A consensual search of the vehicle revealed a makeshift lab inside. Authorities then proceeded to search the residence and found an additional makeshift lab along with meth as well as a handgun. Kendall Smith of New Iberia and Jody Jordan of Breaux Bridge were arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
