Upper Lafayette Development [Audio]

The flood gates for new development are opening for Upper Lafayette. 

Next week construction on the new extension of Louisiana Avenue is scheduled to begin.

The new roadwork means more residential and commercial development for this area north of the interstate.

The four lane highway will extend from Maryview Farm Road to just north of Butcher Switch.  The second phase includes extending Louisiana Avenue to Gloria Switch.

Pat Logan with Public Works says both phases of the project could take three years to complete.
