It was an abbreviated schedule in the Sun Belt last week.  Coastal Carolina and Texas State had a bye week, while Louisiana and Appalachian State were off to get ready for Wednesday's showdown at Cajun Field.  Here are the results from last week.

GEORGIA STATE 20, SOUTH ALABAMA 17 (2 OT) (Thursday)--Despite holding the football for over 40 minutes and limiting South Alabama (1-5, 0-2) to 247 yards of offense and 0-10 on third down, the Eagles (2-3, 1-1) had to work overtime against the Jaguars.  Tyler Bass hit a field goal in the second OT for the win after both teams missed field goals in the first OT.

GEORGIA STATE 52, ARKANSAS STATE 38--The Panthers (3-2, 1-1) set a school record with 722 yards of offense, but needed a late touchdown to get breathing room against the injury depleted Red Wolves.  Dan Ellington threw for 382 yards and accounted for a pair of touchdowns as Georgia State jumped out to a 21-0 lead.  Arkansas State (3-2, 1-1) was led offensively by Omar Bayless, who caught three touchdown passes from Layne Hatcher.

MEMPHIS 52, ULM 33--ULM cut the Memphis lead to six points in the fourth quarter, but a touchdown run and a pick-six enabled the Tigers to get some distance and remain undefeated at 5-0.  Caleb Evans threw for 286 yards and ran for 114 in the loss.  The Warhawks are now 2-3.

MISSOURI 42, TROY 10--Troy (2-3) jumped out to an early lead, but Missouri (4-1) scored 42 unanswered points all in the first half.  Kaleb Barker, who did not play in the second half, was 15-26 for 92 yards and a touchdown.

THIS WEEK'S GAMES:  Appalachian State at Louisiana (Wednesday), ULM at Texas State (Thursday), Georgia State at Coastal Carolina (Saturday).
