What States Have Reached the President’s Vaccine Goal?
President Joe Biden set a goal of having 70% of residents of each state having at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine by July 4th. Seven states have already met that goal
Connecticut, Hawaii, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont. In those states, 70% of residents are either partially or fully vaccinated.

Across the nation, 60% of residents have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.
But Louisiana is near the bottom of the list of percentage of residents fully vaccinated.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky the Centers for Disease Control Director says "the past week has been a big week, with progress and milestones that set us on a path out of this pandemic."
New cases of the virus have dropped to the lowest level in roughly a year. Deaths from Covid have also plummeted.
More than 270 million doses have been administered in the U.S. 40% of adults have gotten 2 doses.
