With Drew Brees returning from his thumb injury a game before he was originally slated to he and the New Orleans Saints dominated the Arizona Cardinals **** on Sunday.

Brees was pretty locked in from the get-go as he completed 34/43 passes for 373 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. I guess the thumb was feeling pretty darn good.

Also, give credit to the offensive line as they kept Brees pretty clean the entire day. They allowed a couple of hits but zero sacks was the big number here and of course the O-line opening-up lots of holes once again for Latavius Murray.

Murray had another 20+ carry day as he topped 100 yards for the second straight week while adding a rushing and receiving touchdown as well.

Michael Thomas continued to do Michael Thomas things as he caught another 11 balls today for 112 yards and a score.

The defense was also swarming on this day as they failed to force a turnover but they made things extremely difficult for young Kyler Murray all day long.

The defense recorded three sacks, five tackles for loss, two passes defended, three quarterback hits and forced a couple of turnover on downs.

In addition, the defense held the explosive Murray under wraps as he was just 19/33 for 220 yards, no TD, no INT and two carries for 13 yards.

With the win, New Orleans improves to 7-1 and will enjoy their bye week during week nine next week.
