Woman Seen Rummaging Through Car Arrested

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested 24-year-old Sonya Mclemore of Bayou Vista on charges of simple burglary and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

A deputy was called out to the business on Highway 182 after a tipster told them the woman was seen rummaging through a car.

After the first call, the sheriff's office got another report of trouble, this time unauthorized entry into a nearby home.

Mclemore was identified as the person who went into the home without permission.

Mclemore was then booked on the two charges and taken to jail.
