Aguillard Withdraws From Lafayette Public Schools Superintendent’s Race

One of the three finalists has dropped out. Donald Aguillard was one of the people looking to replace Burnell Lemoine, the retiring superintendent of Lafayette Parish Public Schools. But Aguillard withdrew from the competition in an email, saying his personal career goals are more in line with his current job as superintendent of the St. Mary Parish School System. He's gotten strong encouragement from the community there to stay put.
