Political blogger, Walt Bennetti of "Click Jefferson Dot Com" says the political world was focused last week on discussions about whether or not U.S. Senator David Vitter will run for Governor.

The junior senator from Louisiana sent out a press release last week saying he and his family were "thinking and praying" about the decision.  Bennetti says if Mary Landrieu loses her Senate race, and Vitter when the governor's race, it could leave Louisiana with less than favorable committee assignments and less power in Congress.

Bennetti says Senator Vitter announced that he will take the Christmas break to think over the decision, and he will likely make his decision made know in November.
