Walt Bennetti of clickjefferson.com joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today and discussed among other things:

  • Pope Benedict XVI's resignation
  • Dr. Ben Carson's address at President Obama's National Prayer Breakfast
  • Chris Wallace's Fox News Sunday interview with Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi concerning gun laws and violence

On Pope Benedict's resignation, Bennetti said,

It was stunning news.  That's a job where you don't really quit and you don't give your notice....unless it's your final notice.  That's some real "hope and change" for the Catholic Church.

Discussing the process of the Catholic Cardinals electing a new Pope Bennetti noted,

You see all the political in-fighting.  That really is "Politics 101" for anybody that wants to learn the ropes about politics.

At President Obama's National Prayer Breakfast this past Friday world renowned pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson spoke and rebuked many of President Obama's actions.  Bennetti noted,

Dr. Carson went on about smaller government, a flat tax and the interesting thing, a direct slam to the President...and obviously coming from someone who knows healthcare, he talked about putting healthcare in the hands of people and not in the hands of government.

We also discussed Nancy Pelosi's interview with Chris Wallace and Bennetti had some thoughts concerning her comments about regulation of guns.  You can hear his comments on Rep. Pelosi and California's proposed gun laws by listening to the interview:
