Lafayette Charter Commission Vote

By a seven to two vote Monday night, the Lafayette Charter Commission voted to seek more time in its efforts to make a decision on possible changes to the home-rule charter.  State law allows a maximum nine-month extension.  But, the additional time must be approved by the city-parish council.  The charter commission's current deadline is April 21st.
