Opelousas Man Accused Of Incest With Granddaughter

A 50-year-old Opelousas man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly molesting a five-year-old victim.

According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Capt. Megan Vizena, the victim would spend the night with Joseph Jenkins and sleep with him in the same bed.

"The allegations...occurred several times during these sleepovers," Vizena said.

Joseph Jenkins was arrested and charged with aggravated incest and is currently being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail on a $100,000 bond.
