A councilman and the Lafayette Police Precinct 4 Commander will hold an open house at the newly built Precinct 4 headquarters at 1820 Moss Street this Saturday.

A press release from Councilman District 4 Kenneth Boudreaux's office says he will be joined by Police Precinct 4 Commander Captain Cornell Montgomery at the facility between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. this Saturday, May 17th.

Boudreaux says a round-table conversation will be held to talk about area crime and how to build stronger relationships between the government and the police department.

Topics for discussion include:

  • A briefing on crime prevention to enhance community awareness
  • The naming of neighborhood leaders
  • The naming of block captains

Leaders say they wish to focus on team building and partnerships
