Rayville Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

RAYVILLE, La. (AP) — State police have arrested a Rayville man accused of having child pornography.

Trooper Albert Paxton tells The News-Star investigators arrested 27-year-old Christopher S. Browning Wednesday. Paxton says the arrest was made in conjunction with an ongoing Operation Child Watch child pornography investigation.

If convicted on all charges, Browning faces up to a $10,000 fine and up to 10 years in prison.

The mission of Operation Child Watch is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators by targeting those individuals with sexually explicit images or videos on their computers.

It was unclear whether Browning has an attorney.
