NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Wildlife agents say two hunters were cited for baiting deer and shooting from illegal stands — both of which are violations of hunting rules.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says Jason Foster and Brad Kubelka were cited on Dec. 4 on the Salvador Wildlife Management Area. Both men are 27-years-old and from St. Charles Parish.

They were accused of hunting from illegal stands, hunting over bait, not wearing orange as required and baiting an area after their hunt.

The hunters were cited for three violations each. They now face fines up to $350 for each violation and jail time of up to 60 days.
