4-Year-Old Girl Found Walking Alone On Road Outside Of Scott

No charges have been filed after a 4-year-old child was found walking alone just outside of Scott early Sunday morning. Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Captain Kip Judice says the case is being handed over to the district attorney's office.

Judice says a driver passing by noticed the child. Deputies then began going door-to-door to homes in the area. At 10:30 a.m., about five hours after the girl was found by the driver, Judice says officers found two adults identified as the child's primary caregivers sleeping in their home.
