Acadia Parish Deputies Bust Non-Compliant Sex Offenders
The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office arrested four non-compliant sex offenders in a recent violator round-up.
Sheriff K.P. Gibson said the Sex Offender Unit continues to address concerns of offenders not fulfilling their obligation for registration and notification.
The following arrests were made recently:
- Wilfred Lormand, 46, Crowley: Lormand was charged for charged for failing to register as a Sex Offender for 2015 & 2016. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
- David Chaisson, Sr., 44, Crowley: Chaisson was charged with Failure to register as a Sex Offender for 2015 & 2016. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
- Brain McCain, 58, Crowley: McCain was booked for Failure to register as a Sex Offender. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
- Corey Briscoe, 36, Church Point: Briscoe was located on active warrants for Failure to register as a Sex Offender. During his arrest, it was discovered that Briscoe was in possession of Cocaine, Crystal Meth, Legend Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia. Briscoe was booked on the listed drug charges, for Failure to register as a Sex Offender and Failure to Notify the Public. He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
