Louisiana Fire Marshal’s Office Investigating An Arson in Acadiana
The Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office, along with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, is trying to spread the word about an arson case that happened Sunday, November 3, in Lyons Point.
Officials with these organizations are partnering with Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers, hoping that by spreading the message, they will find the person or persons responsible for setting multiple bales of hay on fire.
What Was Burned in the Fire?
According to officials with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, the 100 bales of hay were found on fire and ultimately destroyed. Someone intentionally set them on fire near Henry Road and Benton Road just after midnight that morning.
When those bales of hay went up in flames, so did $2,500. It may not seem like hay could be worth so much money, but it is. Now that the owner is out all of that money.
Officials are hoping that someone will have the information they need to solve this case.
What Can You Do If You Have Information?
