Acadiana Man Dies In Crash

An Arnaudville man died following a crash on Louisiana Highway 341 yesterday evening.

Louisiana State Police Troop I Spokesman Thomas Gossen says that 38-year-old Ryan Shrimpf lost control of his truck, and the vehicle ended up flipping over.

Officials say they do not know why Shrimpf lost control of his truck, but they do know he was not wearing a seat belt.

When the St. Martin Parish crash happened, Shimpf's truck was near Armond Joseph Road.

The truck ran off the road, hit a culvert, and the man was ejected from the vehicle.

Routine toxicology tests are pending.

The crash happened around 6:30 Wednesday evening.
