Seniors in St. Landry Parish are being invited to a free program and lunch in Arnaudville Wednesday, March 13.

Law enforcement in local communities and across the country have teamed up to create the TRIAD program to help senior citizens avoid the pitfalls of scams.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux says the three-hour workshop features a plethora of information on how seniors can protect themselves from scams, crime, and fraud.

As part of the program, all the seniors will be treated to games, door prizes, music and lunch.

Participants will also hear from a variety of guest speakers.

The free event for seniors will be held at the Little Flower Hall at 106 Pine Street in Arnaudville.
